Heat, stretch and knead Armenian stylee

In bed with the lurgy today, prob the result of my recent travels across time zones to the Cheesemonger Invitational. Man flu is melodrama, especially when I have it, so a good time to explore cheese peeps…

The films from the Yerkir Media PAMarianna Channel are well worth a watch. The footage of a grandmother from a mountain village in Aremenia separating cream, and making a stretched curd cheese is very cool. I wanna, when I’m well again of course. For the villagers however, rural life continues on post Spitak Earthquake, so I gotta harden up like Grandma.
